October | Pleased to meet you Marie Bryan’s portraits of residents and volunteers at Cork’s Simon Community. Marie is studying Fine Art at MTU Crawford, Cork where she concentrates on researching the phenomenon of intuition. Her deep love of colour radiates in her bright, fun painted portraits. October | Reflections on the care experience in Cork A thought-provoking installation of poetry and art from children in care, children who foster and foster carers themselves. This exhibition launched on Culture Night 2023 in Douglas Library and returns for the first two weeks of October.

October | Connections The annual World Mental Health Day is on 10 October with the overall objective to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health and well-being. To co-inside with this, Tory Top Library, Ballyphehane Togher Community Development Project, Shine A Light Suicide and Mental Health Awareness Group are collaborating in bringing a mental health and well-being information display to Tory Top Library. This exhibition will provide our community with vital information and supports available across the city, and it will encourage all local communities to have the open conversation on mental health. From October 4 to 18 October - November | Lust for Life through Lifelong Learning Ballyphehane/Togher CDP and Tory Top Library will present a collaborative photographic exhibition. This will consist of the following: A3 Photo exhibition, taking a snapshot of resilience, fun, connectivity and inclusion through learning and participation in our communities. Oct 22 to November 3
