April | Tuesday 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 | 10 am – 12.30 pm | Social Sketchers Our highly skilled social sketchers meet weekly to paint and sketch and new members are always welcome. There may be a waiting list so we encourage you to pop in and chat with the group for more details. April | Wednesdays 3, 10, 17, 24 | 11.30 am – 12.15 pm | Duplo Club Enjoy some fun Duplo time with your little one in the library. Suitable for toddlers and preschoolers with their parents or guardians. The library will provide the Duplo and all are very welcome! April | Friday 5 | 11.00 am – 1.00 pm | Gramophone Circle Enjoy a morning of music with the Douglas Library Gramophone Circle. All welcome. April | Wednesday 10 | 11.00 am – 12.00 pm | Lifelong Learning Event: Down Memory Lane Music Café Join Linda Kenny, Alf McCarthy and Maurice Healy for a beautiful morning of song and memories from days gone by. Refreshments will be provided and all are very welcome and but seating is limited so remember to get here early! April | Thursday 11 | 2.30 am – 3.30 pm | Lifelong Learning Event: Gerald & Sheila Goldberg of Cork: A Son’s Perspective. To celebrate the Lifelong Learning Festival, David Goldberg reflects on the life of his parents Gerald and Sheila Goldberg. The talk will include images from his book and all are very welcome. Glanmire Library 7A Hazelwood Centre March| Tuesday 19 | 11.00 am - 12.00 pm | Music Morning A selection of musical numbers harking back to times gone by. March| Every Wednesday | 10.15 am - 11.15 am | Walking Group A refreshing walk around the local Glanmire area. A nice opportunity to meet new people from the community and to meet your local library staff. March| 2nd & 4th Wednesday | 10.30 am - 12.30 pm | Knitting Group Knitting group regular meeting with people from the local area.
